REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Alto obtained a complete and total victory on all claims and successfully defeated numerous cross claims on behalf of The Leland Stanford Junior University and its directors in a dispute to recover over a million dollars in misappropriated assets.

  • Alto represented an investment fund in a hotly contested dispute between the fund’s general partner and limited partners in federal court and before JAMS.

  • We represent a high net-worth investor and LLC member seeking to recover millions in mismanaged and misappropriated assets. This matter is ongoing.

  • We represented a founder/CEO accused of making material misrepresentations in connection with a preferred share offering. The matter was resolved without litigation, through a business deal.

  • We represented one of three equal shareholders in a company in litigation to obtain damages associated with the defendants’ siphoning of trade secrets and other assets from the company. After the other two shareholders put the company into bankruptcy, we filed an adversary proceeding, ultimately resulting in a settlement for several hundred thousand dollars.

  • Alto represented two investors in a company whose officers attempted to divert corporate opportunities, securing a lucrative settlement for the investors.

  • We represented a high-net-worth individual in a FINRA arbitration against his broker, obtaining a multi-million-dollar settlement on the eve of the final hearing after unearthing smoking-gun evidence through aggressive discovery efforts.
